    Unhappy Monofilament line....

has anyone used or tried the following line?

    Attachment 119670
I picked up a spool hoping to use it for my long line trolling on Weiss Lake next week. However after spooling up all my rods I have second thoughts. The line tangled a lot and twisted as i was spooling the reels. No matter how I flipped the spool it seemed to twist and coil up. Should have stuck with braid, wish braid didn't cost so much!

I got a spool of the camo BPS Crappiemax line last night and I give it every thumb I've got down. It's 8 lb test that has all the properties of 20+ lb test (except for break strength). It's as stiff as wire and is coiled like a slinky straight off the brand new spool. I've never seen line like this that is this stiff or with this much memory, regardless of price point.

The attachment worked for me. I never used any like that but really like the Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon.

Doesn't work for me. Must be your less regulated mod settings.

    Default Monofilament line....

I couldnt see it either. I have sworn by Stren lo-vis fluoro for years. I decided to put hi-vis on one of my jig poles last year, so I picked up some Mr. Crappie hi-vis(mono) and I have slowly converted all of my crappie rods over to it. I have been through just about every line on the market trying to find a good casting line for my jig/bobber and dock shooting rods. This stuff works better than anything I have used so far.

I spooled up with some of that last weekend when I ran low on a reel and a buddy had some. His was hiviz but it was 10 times better than the Crappiemax that I got last night.

I have had pretty good luck with this line in 6# and 8# test fishing for crappie and hybrid white bass. I dropped my new spool and broke half of the end off guess I will have to find an old CD to glue on it so I can spool it in my reels.
