    Whats the best way of bending the barb back down on the hooks?

    I use needle nose pliers.

    Needle nose is what I use..
    The dremel tool.....hum yeah thanks,that will be faster and a better job.

    I favor the needle nose as well. All my hooks - including trebles - have the barbs crushed down. I'd be a bit leery about using the Dremel though. Having been in manufacturing for many, many years, I can tell you that it doesn't take much to draw the temper of spring steel.

    Didn't think about heat and it can travel faster then lighting.
    I bend my down in case I get a hook in the finger or side the nose it will be much easier to pull the hook out without screaming bloodly murder.
