Any electronics wizzes here? underwater light?

Im trying to see if i can come up with some sort of cheapie 360 degree light to try in a minnow trap. I did not want to use a flashlight since they are directional. Im not sure if i can just solder wires to a harborfreight led module and to a battery or battery holder or if the water wil kill it or suck the voltage down being exposed? Id like to get 4-5 uses atleast if its going to corrode and hjave to be tossed and id like it to atleast run 1 whole night between batter changes. Any suggestions? Battery needs to go in the trap in the water.

If you can't find an answer to your question, I would try a glow stick. It might work.

Not sure how bright you want this, but yea! There are a thousand ways to make a light work underway. Simplest is to get a bulb with leads and tape it to a 9 volt battery. Or tape it to a DD battery, or a AAA battery. Size the bulb to the battery.

They sell submersible lights for night fishing, add a battery. If your worried about the electricity bleeding off in the water, melt a candle on the contacts to seal them. Or buy some liquid electrical sealer for water applications.

Thousands of ways to do this. Start shopping at RadioShack, auto-parts stores, boat stores, tools stores, etc.
