    Default Badin Lake Slabs on 3/18


    Thought I might sneak in a couple hours at Badin this morning before work. A little cool but not another boat in sight. I ran up to cove I like to troll in and marked scattered fish at 16-20 ft. Water temp had cooled to about 49 so I decided to ease a few minnows around and see if I could find any takers. By the time I had the last rod baited, I had my first keeper on already. The pace was slow but the fish were good. The fish continued to bite til I had to leave for work. My biggest of the morning was a 2 1/2 pound toad that I hooked in 14 ft of water. I think I might be coming down with crappieitis again tomorrow!!!
