With the sequestation looming ever closer, I am thinking about starting a crappie guide service to make ends meet... I know how to catch them crappie, I know the good spots, but I don't know too much about being a guide? Any help, suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated!

hired a couple guides, before i bought my boat, neither time did we catch a limit. the first one was mostly about him. second one was mostly about me and my daughter. i go back to the one and not the other and neither time did i think it was about catching our limit. good luck
I would think you'd want to know about liability insurance and dealing with idiots. A friend of mine was a salt water guide down in Florida. And it seemed like everybody who hired him expected a trophy fish and blamed him for the fish not biting, bad weather conditions, etc.
