Bunks from under my boat. Just think what might have happened on the boat launch this spring...I could break them in half with my hands.

How old were the bunks doodler? I had a set on my old Tracker boat that were the ones that came on it when I traded it off 22 years later.....When I wasn't fishing the boat was kept inside my shop though. The G3 boat that I traded in two years ago was 5 years old and they were still good...I kept it parked in a open shed. They tell me not to replace them with treated lumber as the chemicals they treat the lumber with will attack your aluminum in time.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Right "G", pressure treated isn't a good thing from all I've read. I'm gonna say those were the originals and the boat is an '02. I thought about some "man-made" options, but after pricing stuff and considering how long they lasted, I just went w/ 2x4's and outdoor carpeting again. As easy and cheap as it was to do, if I gotta do them every 10 yrs. that's not bad.

If you have access to cypress wood, that's rot resistant.
