I have an old school LSS-1 so not able to help. I don't think you'd have a problem mounting HB, LSS-1 or LSS-2 on any boat. It's done every day.
Does anybody have one of these installed on their boat. I have a War Eagle 860LDSV that I would like to put side scan on. I'm not sure if the LSS 2 is to big or not? For the moment I am kinda leaning towards HB because I can get the 6 or 7 inches needed for the HDSI ducer. I plan on mounting it just to the right of the center between keel and first strake. Thanks in advance.

Just not sure if I would have enough clearance for the Lss-2. I guess my question should be how much clearance is needed for the lss2?
justinp61 will be along soon to post pix of his LSS-2 on his metal Triton....

Here is a picture of mine I just put on this past weekend. Its on a G3 1860 with a 60 HP Yamaha. Its got plenty of clearance for me. I set mine to ride a little above the water line on plane. Billy
I have mine mounted to the jack plate.
Here's mine. Sorry you really can't tell much from the photo as far as location on the boat, they are close to half way between the center and outside.
I have a War Eagle 648vs wi a 40 Yama. i run the LSS2 with my hds7. there is plenty of room for the lss2 ducer but i would put it away from in front of motor, the turbulence trailing off the ducer will cause big motor to cavitate. mine is located about halfway from centerline to side of boat. i reeally like my hds7, at 2mph the screen looks like a video of bottom, i been tracking schools of bream this week in 10fow.
Thanks for the pics. They help a lot. I've thought about finding a used jackplate but hate to have to spend anymore than I have to. I've read some people have to trim out while scanning. Guess I could always do that.
