Question Thai restraunts in suffolk/smithfield area

Look for a place close to home for Thai food. I have a great place here in Downtown Norfolk for lunch while at work, but I'm looking for someplace out my way on the weekends.

I see a place called Tokyo Thai at Cyprus Run and 10/13.

Anyone try it?... If so, is it any good?

Anyone know of another without coming back into Norfolk or Chessy that's good?

For anyone interested I tried out Tokyo Thai this afternoon.

Nice quiet and clean. A mix of quiet music over the speakers. From Soft Jazz to a Ballad by Celtic Women.

Ordered the Chicken Phad Thai. When it arrived I was surprised at the size of the portion. Could have fed 2 people. Added in some Nan Plah (Thai fish Sauce), Chili Oil and a red spicy paste, a few squeezes of lime, and a sprinkling of sugar and mixed it all up well.

Delicious!. Needless to say, I have found a place to feed my Thai addiction out my way. (if you consider a 20 minute drive into Isle of Wight "out my way").

Mixed menu. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Sushi, Sushi-mi.

Worth the drive. Was barely able to finish it all.

It can be. I make it spicy, but not so much as to kill the flavor.

Please move this post to the Thai food forum.

I don't ever go to Thai restaurants. I hate dressing up.

OK, I'll have to get Slab to create that forum. But I'm going to wait until we have a couple dozen Thailanders sign up.

CG, I guess I don't know whole story but from what I have seen, you are not a lurker. You do/did contribute to the group.

Jim, if you get the pad thai it is not spicy and a pretty good Thai staple to begin with. Only other issue is you can't be allergic to peanuts. They use a lot in the pad thai and some of their other dishes.
