Minnows or Jigs???

I am kinda curious to see where this goes. I would like to hear all of your opinions on minnows or jigs and why,when or where. My personal method is minnows but I will tie on some jigs when the bite gets real good.I have found that when the bite is slow,I will catch more on minnows. thanks in advance,crappiehoarder.

This is a no brainer, jigs 99.9% of the time for me. However certain times I think live bait will serve me well when I start spider rigging.

For me, minnows are just more trouble than they're worth.

I like jigs because I fish in the winter alot and minners and gloves don't go good together. Plus, you pretty much know you've always got a bait on, which is nice if you're fishing 20'+ deep. I am also of the opinion that, overall, jigs catch bigger fish. This is speaking of vertical jigging. Thanks.

I've caught more on minnows than I have on jigs.

But it is more difficult to specifically target crappie with minnows if other sport fish are in the area. For example, bass and bluegill.

Jigs only for me, if minnows fishermen would master jigs ,I don,t think they would say that minnows is the way to go, problem is most minnow fishermen never got away from minnows far enough to learn to master jigs,have to bring their minnows for a cruch, of coarse spider rigging in cold weather minnows are best but I still say give me a stinger grub and rod in hand and THUMP

sometimes minnows.....sometimes jigs........sometimes minnows and jigs.......I tend to let the fish tell me what they want

. I agree with G. I usually take both, and decide what they're biting. In heavy brush i prefer jigs, because it seems like the minnow swims around and gets tangle up.

I use jigs.
I catch thousands of crappie each year with jigs...

My jigs will live forever.
Minners Don't!
I can catch 20+ crappie on a tube, 50+ on a hair jig!

Sounds like facts to me... No need for opinions.

I also use jigs for bream fishing, I will catch 3 to 1, me with a jig you with a cricket.
Same thing... I will catch 50+ bream on a jig you will catch 1 on a cricket.
