    Default power Trolling?

What is it? I've long-lined and spider-rigged, but have heard of it but never knew what the difference other than speed.
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

Spider rigging with heavy weight and fast speeds. Ie: pushing crankbaits or jigs at crankbait trolling speed.

    Default power Trolling?

4-8 oz weights. Super fast. Lots of hooks(where applicable).

I use three ounce weights when I push crankbaits. I use Scott and Genes crankbait pushing rigs.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Its what we call pushing. Spiderrigging is or tightlining is a slow presentation. Pushing or power trolling is moving at longlining speeds but with rods weighted heavy in front of you. Hence, pushing baits vs pulling when longlining. The weight can be little as 3/4 up 4 ounces, but once you get over 2 ounces it takes th fun out of it to me. I wouldonlyfish this heavy in a tournament and only last resort. To me these heavier than 2 ounce weights are only worth using with cranks.
Thanks Iwannafish thanked you for this post
