    After watching 60 min. What a shame that a veteran like that kills himself! I'm not a very good fisherman but am willing to take a veteran out with me to catch whatever! I feel so bad.

    Yes, it truly is a shame that he killed himself. It's a horror that 22 veterans commit suicide A DAY!

    Outreach efforts exist Veterans Crisis Line | Hotline, Online Chat & Text but many folks slip thru the cracks, refusing help, or just do not know about about it.

    I have a friend that is part of a group that takes disabled vets out fishing from time to time, in our area .....

    My boat club (and me) is a strong particpant in Fishing Knows No Boundaries Fishing Has No Boundaries and that is truly satisfying, but I might bring up the veteran point of view at the next meeting.
