good rods.......way more backbone than the sam heatons.......if your fishing real thick nasty stuff and your gonna muscle em out its a good choice.......sam heaton mentioned is a good one also......but not as tough/durable.......can go to wrong with either..... I
    like both of mine

TO ME THE BRUSH CUTTER SERIES IS A SPECIALITY ROD . HEAVY FISH, IN HEAVY BRUSH . A LOT OF BACKBONE AND FISH WILL NOT RUN UNDER THE BOAT AS MUCH . I PERFER A CUSTOM OR SAM HEATON FOR MOST DAYS BUT NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT A BRUSH CUTTER, JUST IN CASE .

This is just a opinion, I have a 12 brush cutter and several 12 PST's I have compared them side by side and don't see any difference. Since mine is the older Cutter before camo I'm convinced they are same pole. So if I was going for a heavier brush pole I'd buy a PST of the length I wanted and save some money.

What eagle 1 said, there are lighter, more sensetive rods out there but for big fish and heave cover, they are tough as nails. I have a couple and love them.
