Wally Marshall slab daddy reels spider rigging

New to spider rigging. Bought my 4 rod spider rig holder and 4 12 ft rods now on to the reels.
I want to go baitcaster. Are the wally marshall 12 dollar slab daddy mini baitcasters from walmart suitable?

They will due, but you'll wish you'd bought something else. Get some cheap spinning reels instead.

Cabela's has pflueger presidents in their bargain cave for $39.99 a 6530 would be ideal for that, besides being a great reel. Regular price on them is $59.99 don't know if they still have any, but it'd be worth a look.

You can get some nice baitcasters from Grizzly Jig for around 25 to 28 bucks each. Give them a call and talk to Lou.

Suitable? Guess it depends on what you can allow.

Spend a bit more and get a better quality reel (ask me how I know).

I do not like any of those mini type reels .....Get you some real baitcasters with a thumb bar. They have better drags on them and with the thumb bar you can be fishing 4 ft. deep....catch a fish.....rise the rod verticle while letting line out with the thumb bar and then swing it into the boat all in one motion.
