They do the exact same thing here that is why i havent been fishing lately,as a group they are the most rude by far and to make worse they get an early start of it.
Why cant the dang water ski'ers stay in the darn main lake? it seems like theres more in the coves than on the main lake.Theres nothing more annoying than anchoring on a spot then here comes a ski boat and it doesnt seem to bother them to run by within 15' of your anchored boat and try to wash you out of the lake!!!!

i think that they think you want to watch them for some reason. us crappie fishermen ought to take out a full page ad in waterskier monthly or whatever they read and tell them that we do not enjoy watching you ski while we are fishing. futhermore the wake off the half speed boat really screws us up when our poles bounce about 12 inches up and down. so please, stay in the da*n main lake!

It's not a skier, but these guys are just as bad.....

Oh, they are in the main lake too - I spend a lot of time trolling out
there this time of year, and there's plenty of lice there too.
I agree completely with the part about them thinking you want to
watch them.
What I wish, is that they would use the whole lake instead of just
going round and round right where I"m at - I can smile and wave the first
time by, but the fifteenth, it gets old!

You need to talk to the water patrol for your lake, and get his/her cell number. On the little local lake that I fish, and the state of Mo I believe, it's illegal to come within a hundred feet of an anchored vessel. He gave me his number and said to call whenever someone does it and he'll take care of it. Since he will usually see me out there 2 or 3 times a week, he'll take care of me.
my old fishing buddy, now disabled, would carry a slingshot and a pocket full of worm weights to the lake just for that reason.
Thats why I really enjoy the State Fishing Lakes in Kansas -- no recreational boating allowed. For me the noise of the lake lice sure takes away my enjoyment of being on the water.
My favorite time to fish is winter and fortunately the lake lice aren't out then. Ah just give me 35 deg air temps and I can dress to be comfortable on the water. Fishing in this danged heat and pulling mushy parboiled crappie out of the water just ain't comfortable for me.
As for the boat wakes I don't know how many times I have been on the water tightlining and waiting for a bite and getting thumped as my boat is rocked by the waves. So now at times I'm hoping that boats would come by to generate some waves.

While we're griping :D , how about the boats with the wakeboard tower
with big "bazooka" speakers mounted up high on it? Can hear them coming
before you even see them. There ought to be a law...
