    Default need help spider rigging

hey guys i need some help rigging my boat for spider rigging. would it be more ideal for front or rear of boat, what kind of rod holders should i use, i have a 22 bay boat cc. would prefer back because of striper fishing and want to minimize holes in the boat. for that i also was wondering if there was a board, not wood, but some kind of board i could drill where i could attach more than one fishing contraption too and limitholes in my boat. please let me know. thanks guys

I would spider rig up front! Check with Scott at Hitek and he can help you design without holes!

Drill a few more holes and mount some Hiteks up front. Spider rigging is done from the front anyway. While your at it, add two side by side pedestal bases up front. Here is my set up...

You will want a gps/sonar up front.

Maybe you should be inquiring about long-lining instead of spider riggin...(Same principle...draggin multiple baits thru the water....just a little faster...and rods out the back...or side..)..

x2 on what rickie says. To minimize the holes you dread and expand your fishing, longlining might be a better choice. Check out driftmasterdotcom for some rod holders that could serve double duty (striper and crappie) that mount on the back of the boat.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

thanks rickie n jimp, thats really what i was looking for. i posted in the South carolina section and they suggested tight lining and spider rigging for my area, very new to crappie fishing. Dad is retiring this year and wants to get into crappie fishing. I want to show him the ropes. and yes i have several driftmaster rod holders from a previous boat, just need the t-bars and mounts. thanks again guys
