Coincident or intentional ?????

I got an LX25 lowrance GPS/Depth unit ......
Is seven years old ....
Antenna went out = bought new antenna and had to upgrade software = everything went good.
Now, when I took it out yesterday, the GPS works great, however, now the depth finder/fish finder
is crapped out (ain't never had a problem with it) ! !
I'm just wondering if the new software had an intentional bug in it to mess up my depth finder .......
Any ideas appreciated .................

uninstall the update and see what shakes.

If I uninstall the update then the Gps (upgraded antenna) won't work ...... (so I'm told).
I'd rather have the GPS than the depth finder, etc .........

I seriously doubt Lowrance would put a "bug" in the software, to "crap out" your depthfinder. Too many people out there that can hack the software file & find that "bug" ... and then Lowrance's reputation would be "crapped out".

I'd be talking to someone at Lowrance, to see if there's a potential for the update to override any functioning of the depthfinder .. or if there's a simple fix ... or even if they've ever heard of this happening to anyone else's LX25, after the software update.
