Whats the best way to clean the scum out of a styrofoam minnow bucket?

I have used white vinegar to clean mine and it does a good job. It won't work as good as bleach but the styrofoam will absorb bleach. Minnows and bleach don't work so well. just fill up your bucket to the scum line and let it sit for a while. Then dump the vinegar and rinse out the bucket a few times and then fill with water and let it sit for a while and rinse again. You won't totally get rid of the line but most of the bad stuff that would hurt the minnows will be gone. Hope this helps. CF

Try backing soda and warm water. Scrub the bucket then rinse really good.

Bilge cleaner and H2O. Biodegradable and non-toxic, just be sure to rinse, rinse and rinse again.

I do the same thing Rango does, but then I let them sit out in the sun for a day with the lid off. The sun seems to do a good job of bleaching out the buckets.

You could do what I do,,,leave them empty in the boat and head home. Then buy new ones! Heh! Heh! Heh! <*)}}}><
