    Default New to Walleyes, Help!

I've been trying for two years with little success!
The local Amish limit often,a small lake in Ky,
Yesterday They were using Hot n tots So I try the same size, color
no luck.We are trolling,They caught 2 just in front of me.

I tried every speed from1.2 to3.2 mph? I did notice some type of spinner about 16 in. in front of the crankbaits they were using?
what about sinking line? How far back?the fish were about16 ft deep in 23 ft water.
    I have used crawlers,shadraps, bandits,model a's

    ANY Help will be appreciated!!!!!!!!

You may want to try long-lining a crank,or just simply using a deeper diving crankbait.Another way to actually getting down that far, would be using a bottom bouncer, than having a long enough snell with maybe a floating jighead, and using a blown up nightcrawler,or a leech.I usually won't target suspended walleye's.but rather walleyes hugging close to the bottom. The bottom fish have been more active biters for me in the past. The only time I use cranks trolling in open water is when the walleyes are near weedcover, than I'll troll just out from the weedline.Good luck, and I hope the tips help.:D
