What a day on the Grand.

Met up with crappiencali around 8 at Bucksaw and headed up river. Had a slow start trying to fish in a creek in shallow water. Two fish the first 1/2 hour. We made a move and got in 12 ft of water and found the fish and good ones. We used 1/4 oz pretied minnow rigs and pretied 1/4 oz jig rigs tipped with minnows. The crazy thing about today was the better fish were caught fishing only 3-4 ft down in 12-16 ft of water. We ended up with around 75 keepers with 30-35 of those being a pound or better. We had 9.98 lbs on our best 7 fish. May have been able to break ten lbs if we would have weighed more fish. They are fat fat fat right now. Ran into X2C, kcbrown and rippinlips at the ramp taking out and talked to rippinlips and OneBadChampion before we left the ramp this morning. So another fun day on the water. Maybe Dave will have some pics of the keepers he took home.

That is really nice fish, to bad Truman is all most 4 hours away. The plus side is it keeps the riffraff of the lake, because E and I would be there all the time.

Sounds like a great day, I wanted to fish today but the boat still has a crack in the hull, have to take it in Thursday to get it welded.

Jared good job buddy, the catching has been good! Glad I did not stay on the couch this am. We finished up down where you were, time we got there you was gone!
