I have no trouble raising wax worms for fishing. But after they get so big does any one know how to make them go dormant so they quit eating and stop making wax tunnels ????? Thanks a head of time. STEVE
Put them in a plastic tub and stick them in the refrigerator. Same thing they do in the pet and bait shops.
Any condensation or moisture will kill them, so make sure you keep them DRY. You can pack the container with wood shavings or shredded aspen bedding. It's pretty cheap at most pet stores.
Check the container often and remove any dead ones. When they die they turn black and melt into stinky goo that will kill the others.
Don't worry, catch crappie.
