If you have the S2 slider like I have. I bought an aluminum telescopic paint roller handle and put the net on it. Works great and not as heavy as the S2 slider handle.
We tried the new ego but it is to heavy hoisting it over plus it has fell apart in less than a year. What other choices are there?

That's what I'm lookin for. Ego net was good but 30 times a day or so it gets heavy. I like the ole basic alum. Handle with the little lock buttons.
FISH-ON!!!!!
I drilled a couple of holes in mine about half way so you have another option. Fill the inner handle with foam or put a noodle on it, it will sink like a rock, just ask BRM

Monks Crappie sells a Cumings Net called a Crappie E Net it extends to 12 ft. The net is very simplistic, not much on it to tear up easy. The basket is made out of thin string so it is less prone to catch hooks and it is easy to change out if it ever needs replacing. Just bought one from him, I think Monk said that a rubber replacement basket is available as well.
BRM sells one. It extends way out there don't know exact specs. picked me up one last weekend. Great lightweight net. I think it's the one most of the crappie masters use
