heading sensor antenna

Hey guys.....Was going fishing today got my boat out and no heading sensor antenna showing on my graph....went to nav menu put gps antenna select in auto and then went to networking tab no tab there.....turn on 998 then network tab came up and no antenna select on the nav menu......i'am in the advanced mode under settings also....it work fine the garage a few days ago.

What unit is the GPS-HS connected to kyrich?

Greg......i just went out the boat and the gps diagnostic shows fixed enhanced and internal antenna....went to the network tab and shows internal and no fix

I had some trouble getting a good connection on the back of my 1197 when I tested the AS GPS HS Saturday...

I had to wiggle the connector a couple of different times to get it to connect and show connected in the "Accessories" status view...

I will be tweaking my pins slightly next time out...

What i don't understand was when i could get option of antennas in the nav menu.......i would not have a networking tab...........now i have the networking tab and no antenna option in nav menu

Rickie i had already checked connections........i guess i need to call humminbird

I was missing some menu options when I first downloaded the new version to my 898. I tried restore defaults a couple of times to no avail. Eventually reloaded the new software version and the problem went away. All I could figure out was a couple of gremlins got into my first download.

Thanks stymie..............i haven't tried that yet......i've restored defaults 200 times....frustrated
