    Default 2 lb Test Line

What brands/types of 2 lb line do yall use?

I'm normally a 4lb-6lb kind of guy, but I have found that in certain cases 2lb line gives you a extreme advantage. The 2lb line I've been using isn't very abrasive resistant. I understand that it's 2lb test and its going to be weak, but i break 1 in 5 fish off even after retying all the time. I'm wanting to change up the brand/type I'm using and experiment with some of the new co-polymer or fluoro coated lines. Just want some input.

    Anybody try any of these:

    Berkley® Trilene® Sensation Line - 330 Yards | Bass Pro Shops

    P-Line CXX X-tra Strong Monofilament - 260-300 Yards | Bass Pro Shops

    Berkley® FireLine® Fishing Line - 125 Yards - Crystal | Bass Pro Shops

That last link to the Berkley FireLine peaked my interest. It's the smallest diamter of any of them. It's also expensive...
Hooking up every chance I get!

It's expensive because it's braid (technically, fused.) Whatever you want to call it, it's a "superline". Therefore, it's expensive.

I have used the following, and they are all good.

    P-line Premium CX
    Sufix Tournament Class
    Vanish flourocarbon
    Maxima Chameleon
    Trilene XL

I'm sure Ande would be good, too, but I haven't used it.

I have used the P-line in 2# test for trout and it did alright. It seemed to take a little bit of abrasion.

I have been using Visious 2# test. Strongest 2 # test I have tried. Some others are probably just as good , I just haven,t tried them. I buy it from Grizzly Jig.

I love fishing with 2lb test line! I like to use trout magnets for all spieces. Trout magnet sells a 2 lb test line but I am not crazy about it. I just use whatever 2lb test I can find which is not that easy in my part of the world.

Probably because it's the same diameter as some 4# lines.

P line, wish I had a count on how many times I've typed that.

DO NOT use the Vanish! It's the first of the fluoro-coated lines to come out and it is HORRIBLE! Turns very brittle after a little use. I use 4# most of the time, but I know a lot of people that swear by 2#. Just don't hook a 2lber with it. Heartbreak Hotel for sure! I'd go with the P-Line myself. Great stuff!

Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

I use the fire line crystal 2 LB during the hard water season. It works well inside a shelter but it will collect water and freeze up if used outside below 32 degree.

2# line an EXTREME advantage ? Uh No.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
