Anytime I do a tandem rig or have several jigs on at a time I always use a polomar knot....I use this knot almost extensively all the time.
Is there any certain way to tie 3 crappie jigs on one line? Any certain knots to tie so they don't get pulled off?
Please help!

I do a double and triple rig all the time and all i use is a palomar know about 18" apart from each other.

I have used the search function to no avail on finding the video you speak of. Could you please point me in the right direction?Originally Posted by shadow
Thanks in advance.
Little hard to tie but may be the best knot for multiply jigs.

Do many of you guys use the dropper loop? I'll be d***d if I can figure out how to tie one with light line!Or do you think the Palomer Knot is just as effective for fishing multible jigs on one line?

The palomer is a very strong knot is is used when the bait does not need to float loose on the line. It is also used with the "drop shot" method or when fishing with only one bait on the line. The dropper loop is also a strong knot but will allow the bait to move around on the line freely and will let the fish suck it in without pulling too much on the rest of the line that is weighted with other jigs. Small diameter line is getting harder for me to see and tie so I have started using the high visibility line. I hope this helps.
I've never used the palomar knot, but based on this diagram I don't see how it would be very easy to use in a drop shot or triple jig scenario? Crappiencali, is it a pain to have to tie the knot with 3 or 4 foot of extra line when you are doing the first jig?
