    Nice shot.

    Here's "tweaked" version.

I recommend turning off date in the camera. You can always overlay it later if you need to. Sometimes it's not so easy to remove it cleanly.

    Cheers

I agree, Doug. Those image overlays can ruin a great picture like this one. The camera saves date, time, and many other pieces of info about the image. It's all in the image file...just right click the file name and there it is. If you want a caption at the top, bottom or sides, these can be added to the image later with any image editor. Here's an edited version of the edited version above. This took a couple of minutes using the "Paint" program that is bundled with Windows. Depending on the audience, the legend could include the fishery, lat/lon, water & weather conditions, bait, depth, etc., etc. After adding the legend, save the new image as a version of the original file name: 1234.jpg becomes 1234b.jpg. This way you have both the postcard-quality version and the new one with the legend.

Better than MS Paint is >>> paint.net<<<. It's free and does a ton more than MS Paint.

That's what I have been using on all my image edits with the exception for panoramas.

    Cheers

Unless you're printing your pix on paper, today's digital photography allows you to shoot an unlimited number of pix at no extra cost. The only possible problem I can see is organization. I save mine in separate folders for each fishery. In my top two folders, I set up subfolders for each year.
