Wally Marshall Pro series 8' rods (Can be used for pretty much every type of crappie fishing).

Shimano Spirex reels (5 bearings + Quickfire = Great Reel)

    My basic crappie rods are:

    4--8' Wally Marshall Pro Series
    2--12' Wally Marshall Universal Series
    2--5' Ugly Stik Light Action

I would try the B&M Crappie rods. They come in all sizes but I like the 8 ft rods the best.

If you are going to slow troll, tightline or verticle cast with the rod in your hand the Sam Heaton 10ft. Super Sensitive is an excellent rod.

B&M is the way to go. My favorite is the 12ft, if you plan on tightlining and trolling

B&M rods with out a doubt. WM rods are good too. B&Ms just better and liter. CF

For casting light jigs I like St Croix Premier or Avid 1 piece 6'6" or 7' ultralight

WM Pro-series, has more back bone that the B&M's. I like the 10 footers.

For any rod over 8' I like Browning, BnM OR Wally marshall stuff. A rod under 8' it's hard to beat Shimano.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
