Ive fished crappie in California and Texas mostly and the two lakes that put out numbers of quality slabs and overall keepers are Lake Isabella in California and Belton Lake in Texas. Both hold large numbers or quality fish 15-18". Both also have very little crappie fishing pressure because of where they are located and the other quality fish each lake holds.

If you are speaking of "year round" good fishing, quality and quantity, Lake D'Arbonne in Farmerville, LA
