    Default Finally figured it out.

I have a black B/M dipping rod, 12', black foam handle.

Ever since right after I bought it I noticed white dots from the handle to about the first eye in decreasing frequency. Never understood where they come from, thought some sort of fly or moth in the boat locker eating off the fish slime.

So I get to cleaning things up and they start flaking off. I get a magnifying glass, get a good look.

    Minnow scales.

I guess they stick to my fingers and then transfer to the rod when fishing with them slippery silvery jewels.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
