    I guy online in my town has this trolling motor forsale/ Is his price good? Any one have any bad luck with this model?

    New Motor Guide Trolling Motor 12 volt 52lb thrust. Has a 50 inch shaft "Motor Guide Lazer2"

    Never used paid $600.00 asking $350.00

    Just me, but I like Minn Kota Maxxum (for many reasons). Now I don't know the models for Motor Guide, but if it's a variable speed it may have cost him that much, but if it's new looking I would keep looking. I would avoid any 5 speed troll motors! I don't think personally I would buy a MotorGuide at all, but that's me.

    Here is a link to BPS and MotorGuide Troll motors, but I am not familiar with the "Lazer2" and don't see it one this page. Anyway for an Idea of price look at this link.

    Motorguide had lots of problems with the Lazer trolling motors.
