Friends, please take the time to read this and send a message at least to Senator Alexander and Senator Corker. Even if you are not a Tennessee resident, this has potential to affect you as this policy could easily spread to other states and waterways.

The Corp of Engineers Is up to no good again.

"The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is currently in the process of finalizing a plan to restrict boat access to hazardous waters directly upstream and downstream of all hydroelectric power plant facilities along the Cumberland River and its tributaries. When the implementation plan is finalized, the Corps will release the information to the public."

Respectfully,

If you live in a state other than Tennessee, contact your congressmen and representatives and ask them to voice opposition to these closures. There will be a meeting in Washington DC Feb. 5, 2013 with the head of the Corp of Engineers. This meeting is being coordinated by Senator Ed Whitfield of Kentucky. Ask you congressmen to contact Mr. Whitfield for specifics and to attend this meeting.
