1 lb. 8.3 oz

(3) Three positions paid "7 fish total
catch weight"

1st: Vince McGuire/ Buddy Dobson
9 lbs.9.5 oz

2nd: Mike Benjamin
7 lbs. 5.5 oz

3rd: Ted Harry / Leni Wilkerson
6 lbs. 15.5 oz

The extraordinary three (3) straight
tournament run of Lake Tarpon wins
with Tanley W. & Bill B. came to an
end Saturdqay, January 26th with a
new winning team Vince McGuire &
Buddy Dobson taking the top hobors.
This team not only wond the event, but
put a smashing weight up that is going
to be hard to beat in future. Last years
winning weight was 8 lbs. 7 oz compared
to this years weight of 9 lbs. 9.5 oz...

Thirteen (13) teams took on the Lake Tarpon with wind, temp & water conditions being in low 60's, along with a
full moon overhead, brought out a great
group of competitors with one comming
from Titusville area.

Some teams long-lined, spider rigged, push-pulled and two teams bobber fished
the reeds, hydrill on edge and one teamed "crashed" the cattails looking for bedding fish. One team spent most of
morning "shooting canal docks, along with
tight-lining bottom bouncing.

Winning team "tight-lined" bottom bounced the various area's they found
with minnow tipped jigs in the "Ron's" zip
colors of hot pink, butterscotch & orange,
along with blue/black comb. using Hi-Tek
12' rods on 6 lb line, working water in the
8.5-10.0 range, on bottom with a few up
midway on water column

Next tournament will be February 9th
Johns Lake, Cleremont area, public
ramp.
