believe that they are refering to the fact he finally (and reluctantly) freed the slaves. apparently several here wish to bring that "fine" old southern institution back to life, correct? that and having a seperate south...racism is very "alive but still sickening" and attempting to regrow anew...back to "base human nature": ALL for ME, NONE for YOU! BTW, how ironic our argueably worst president (Buchanon- did utterly nothing to help prevent the Civil War, and secretly schemed to turn federal forts and armories over to the south, but was never charged with treason) and likely our best president (Lincoln) were the 14th and 15th men to hold the office...
