4 stroke oil

Hey guy's, I have a 30 hp Johnson 4 stroke engine and have always used Evinrude/Johnson 4 stroke oil.
When I went to get the oil and filter at LEE'S Marine they told me that they did not make that type oil no more
and tried to sell me synthetic oil at $10.00 a quart. What is a good compatible oil I can use besides synthetic oil?

I know some folks that use Castrol 5w30 with no problems

I see no reason why something like Yamalube 4M 10W-30 wouldn't work,also,...it's FC-W rated! That's what I use in my 15 HP Yamaha four stroke outboard and see no reason why it wouldn't work in your 30 HP four stroke Johnson.

Castrol. Use it in my Yamaha 50 and everything else I own with a motor. Never had a oil related problem. Should be a sticker on powerhead near oil fill with oil weight spec.
