    Default Airbrush powder paint

So I recently got an airbrush set up to see if I could adapt it for use with powder paints. So far I have tried dissolving the paint in MEK substitute and it paints on nicely and dries quick to the touch and I saw no ill effect after it was cured. The only draw backs were the smell and it was a bit messy to clean up after. Has anyone else tried anything like this and if so how did it turn out?

I tried the method with keeping it as a powder and heating the jig first but the cold air coming from the brush cools off the jig to fast to allow it to stick without many reheats. I was testing a blue powder over a white base that had previously cured and after a second cure to heat the blue it looked good. nice blending and still glossy with no top coat. I could not scratch it of, which I could prior to the second cure so it did not seem to change those properties of the powder. It looks really good but with setup and clean up you have to be ready to go through a bunch so you are not wasting your time. Having multiple guns so all colors could be laid at once would help too.

Jackie are you using powder paint in these guns? I love my air guns but have never thought of running powder paint through them.
