HB 898c

I was told at BPS that HB is not making the 898c anymore, the 360 is replacing it. If you want SI/DI you have to go to the one that is $1999. Is this true ?

i saw a show yesterday and they said the 360 was a add on and could be used with other hb units , they did this so you wouldnt have to buy all new stuff

The forums are full of examples of folks at BPS spewing misinformation.

360 is an add-on to the ethernet capable SI units except for the legacy 1197.

Technically they were correct in that we are not making the 898c Si model anymore. It was replaced by the 898c HD Si model.

I might have mis-spoke. I was interested in buying the 898c & it might have been the HD. I know it was about $1499.00, but they said it wasn't available anymore the 360 replaced it. He did say other places still have it for sale & HB will still support it but they didn't have it for sale. $1999.0 wasn't in my budget.

The 360 Imaging accessory is an accessory and not a complete unit. It has to be connected to a Side Imaging unit in order to work. It did not replace anything in our lineup. The salesperson did not know what they were talking about.

Look around at some of the board sponsors and I’m sure that you will find that they would be happy to sell you a new 898c Si HD Si unit and possibly at a better price than that.
