    Default Hit "N" Run Jiggin'

This time of year we don't find a lot of fish holding on each piece of structure so we have adopted a technique we call Hit "N" Run jiggin'. We hit a brushpile, fish it about 10 minutes or so then run to another after we pick up the few active fish on each place.

There is probably better techniques to use this time of year to catch more fish but we enjoy vertical jiggin' so much that we just have to hit more brushpiles to catch a good amount.

Jigging 8 ft. deep in 10 to 12 foot deep brushpiles seemed to do the best this afternoon. Pink/White Superjig on a 1/4 oz. Bighead Jighead filled with Crappie Nibbles from the "Bait Pump" was the bait used.

If you noticed I don't have any big fish pics...I got whooped!

That dont look like a painful beating to me. Have you and your deck hand tried nightstalking since the last time you went and the car wreck ruined your evening?

Way to go Debra! I see your still using those pink/white jigs.:D That's the way I fish most of the year Slabbandit. I guess it's a habit learned in my Bass tournament fishing days.:D It's not unusal when the crappie are not bunched up for me to fish 2 or 3 dozen tops a trip.

Hey there Gooch, No I haven't been back night fishing yet. I'm still going to give it another try. Located a bay down by the dam that has a lot of shad activity and is fairly deep. May try here next time.
