This past weekend...

How much can you pack into one weekend? Well, let's just say I'm going back to work today to GET A BREAK!! Lol. We went to the Farm Friday night (Critter Creek) because the ponies were (are) my first love before fishing. Had a very late night there, got up early Saturday and did horse chores with my family then went east to go shrimping (first time!). Took the boat out before dark and fished until shrimping time. Plan was to stay out all night but we threw in the towel about midnight. Our trolling motor died and we went back to the dock to swap batteries and we looked at each other and said let's go home instead of going back out. Below is our catch.... Enough for one very small order of shrimp cocktail... Lol.

So we went home, slept in until about 9am Sunday, then went fishing on the other river beautiful ... The st. Johns with our leftover stinky mullet from the fishing the night before. Not even a catfish would take the mullet. But the river was beautiful and peaceful and we soaked it up.

Had a great weekend. Just not sure why the weekends seem to go by soooo fast.

We missed all the weekend posts so im going to look at them now. Congrats to TnT on winning Ammy at Crescent!! Wow!!!

Too bad on the shrimp guys = that's why they call it a hit & miss endeavour .........

We knew it was supposed to get better a few hours after we left but we couodnt keep our eyes open anymore. But it was lots of fun.

If our government really wanted to help the economy they would add another day to the weekend. People are more likely to travel on a 3 day then a 2 day weekend. Thats more money spent. they can call it Saturday, Sunday and Funday.

Thanks for the picture of the 'bucket of shrimp' since the 'RR' pic i've wanted to go east to the salt. I'll sleep a lot better tonight knowing it'll be a long time before my bucket looks like the one Danny posted.--shu

Glad we could be of help!! But don't judge the shrimp catching on our results. We looked like a comedy of errors out there but we know what to do for next time... :-)
