    Default Recessed tm mount?

Well i took the new boat out today and i think i want a recessed mount for the tm pedal. What are the pros/cons of them? I think i would really like one. I figure i will have to get an offset seat pole. Also where do I get one? Do they make plastic mounts or do i need to get one made out of aluminum? Thanks

I bought an aluminum one online and installed in my G3. I love it. I think the biggest advantage is when you are standing while using the trolling motor. It really saves your back not having one leg higher than the other. I was worried about having to buy a offset seat pole but it wasn't necessary on my boat, yours may be different. I haven't seen any disadvantages yet.

I made one from aluminum from measurements from the net. I am very glad I did it. Helps with leg and back fatigue. Just make sure you either make or order it for your trolling motor. Kotas and Guides have different sized pedals. It is a little sickening cutting a big hole in a perfectly good casting deck, but I don't regret doing it at all.

Cuttin a hole in this boat wont bother me alot, its an older boat and i think it will clean up the looks of the bow some too. Cheapest one i have found is nearly 50$ but the reviews say it has no drain or drain tube.

If you're looking for a offset pedestal ... plan on it costing ~ $45-50 ( Springfield Marine Kingpin Offset Removable Pedestal Posts | Bass Pro Shops ) ... depending on whether you want a threaded or non-threaded one.

I use one on my boat (16' Procraft) and used to use it on my fishing partner's boat (Tracker 17TX). It definitely helps, even if you don't have a recessed tray for your TM pedal !!

My son got one of these and he is pleased with it. Last year it was $79 plus shipping. You must scroll down to near bottom of page to see it.

Try one of these. I've installed three of them for me and friends. Everyone love's them. Cleans up the deck, less back strain, and simple to install.

What is a foot pedal? Have had an I-pilot for several years and haven't looked back!
