Are these the hormone treated ones?

Do they ever turn into beetles?

The hormone treated regular mealworms don't turn into beetles, so they can't reproduce.

Superworms can reproduce, but they're more of a pain because you have to isolate them when they're ready to turn into beetles. Otherwise the other worms will eat them.
    Don't worry, catch crappie.

If you rise your own you can pick out the biggest plumpest ones or do like I do and use the pupa instead.
