Wonder.....I've been using them for a few years now. They are everything they say they are. Great bite detection, highly visible and casts a country mile! I use them as a clip on bobber but they can be used as a slip also.
Was wondering if anyone has tried these??

If it lays on it's side, how you know when the fish is pushing up on the bait?

Not for me, I catch to many on the lift bite like SLAB_FINDER.
I done a little research and found that you can fish them as a slip float and they act like any other so I guess the only advantage you'd get is the extra weight for longer casts if needed??? Not sure how you'd detect a fish pushing the bait that I could find in my searching if fished as a clip on.
We use the Rockets on the Big Chip ( Chippewa Flowage ) to answer the question of an up bite then I will weight the line so the bobber rides at an angle so if the bite is up the bobber will lay flat on the water. We use them a lot for searching using a 1/64 ounce jig and plastics. As stated they will cast a mile.
