Crescent lake today

Eileen and I and Gene and Elaine headed to Crescent this morning. We knew it was going to get nasty but the weather man said not until 2 or 3: pm. Well everyone knows that the weather man is wrong more than 50% of the time and he still gets his pay check every week. Anyway we started out getting some nice slabs until around 10:30 . Than the gusts started until we couldn't fish properly any more. All and all it still was a good morning and we did get some nice ones, 13 in my boat and 20 in Gene's. Crescent has become my best lake to fish and Monroe is the second best. We like Crescent so much that we rented a house on the lake for next year. Sorry Speckanator Mike but I do like Crescent. All were put back for the guys to catch this weekend.

I guess I'm more than inclined to agree with SYG and AnchorMan. Crescent has made me into a believer. But on the other hand, on any given day Monroe can do you right. We are very lucky to have a few very nice lakes to fish.

Thanks for defending Monroe...I don't know if they're as heavy but they bite from September til May....I know I'll be fishing Crescent more often too
