    Default Fish Identification

Ran across this fish identification quiz on the internet - Fish ID Quiz

I missed 11 on the first round and 5 on the second try. Guess I need to brush up on my fish species.

Y'all give it a try and post your results just for kicks. It takes a long time to load so be patient. It doesn't give you the right answer - only tells you which ones are wrong so you can keep trying if you're bored - I must be I'm going to give it one more try.

Exclamation Is that thar good eat'n?

Well I thought I was going to ace this one! It's a good thing that I live near the Mississippi River, and have been an avid trout firsherman too. This was a tough test. I have been calling the Orange Spotted Sunfish a Pumpkinseed all of my life! OOPS! I had a strong inkling that I might of had those 2 backwards before I submitted my answers though because I thought that the real 'seed was the 'seed too. I missed 4 total on my 1st shot at the test. One of the other 2 I messed up on was the Carp/Grass Carp one. I then still missed 1 on the 2nd try! Ok everyone, don't laugh, it was the dang gizzard shad I missed twice!! I must say I was surprised. That was fun! Thanks for sharing that with us Jerry.

FYI I had to stop the loading & refresh 5 times to get all of the pics to come up. I don't know if that may speed it up for someone or not. But it seemed to lock up after about 5 pics had loaded and I have DSL. Luck to yas!

    Unhappy Could have done better

Between my tiny monitor and bad corneas, I was guessing on the sunfish. Couldn't see any details to figure out what was what. Never seen a gar in my life, so guessed at that, too. Did okay on the catfish and rough fish at the bottom, though. I got 24 right.

I did email the webmaster to tell them they had misspelled "perch". - Roberta

Default Failed to get the link to work

Well I gave up on this after failing to get the thing to download and work three times. And I am on cable and have 256 mbps upload speed and 4Mbps download speeds. And there is hardly anyone else on my cable's node in this area. So I should get fast speed all the time. Maybe my modem is going bad but I could not get this link to work.

Gee, Moose, I have Win 95 with tin can/string telephone service and it came up right away for me. Maybe you're too hi-tech. - Roberta
