I don't fish muddy water, but when water was dingy i used a bone color. In clearer
waters i like bandits 200 and 300 in chartruse and silver. Also like the Xcalibur in same
colors. Use black and silver rebels, but they hard to find now.

I use Southern Pro Umbrella tubes with a 1/8 oz roundhead pushed inside. This gives a large bulky profile and like to use dark colors ( Black, Purple,) with Chartruse. Try MEATGETTERS Spanky hand tied jigs , they are brightly colored.

I like a pink or red 1/8th oz painted head with eyes...dark colored jig bodies black or June bug...solid yellow, pink, chart tails. All white, electric chicken, and metal flakes/shallow have all worked well for me in muddy waters. Good Luck on your trip.

I have a small hair jig I make out of calf tail that I started making for white bass in spring spawn and since that year I started making them, I have caught every kind of fish under the sun on same bait. Same color , I make hundreds every year of same color , started taking them packaged with me and others would buy them . It's a shad dart, 1/64th with #8 hook hot ping tip of head, body is white pearl, black jig thread and white calf tail, I would post a picture but I'm at work.
