Wonder what everybody does when they see somebody stranded on the water? In another post I indicated that I had a dead battery yesterday when I launched my boat. While I was floating there was three new bass boat come in and load there boats passing with 15 foot of me and none of them even ask me if I needed a hand while I was changing my batteries . I told one I had a dead battery and he just huffed and continued on. They were all decked out in triton attire with ga tags. Just got to thinking about it and found it odd that nobody offered a hand.... I always try to help those in need. Ok that's my soapbox for the day....

I carry jumper cables in my boat. I have jump started several boats, esp. in the spring. I guess the fact that all were blocking ramp access had a lot to do with it. Cheap jumper cables would have gotten you out of your pickle sooner.

I would have asked if there was anything I could do and wouldnt have left you stranded. In all fairness, sounded like you were at the ramp and not down the lake somewhere. Cray and Neon gave me a tow day before yesterday, sure was glad they was there.

Even though you're name is Bama. I would have helped you. I know how it feels to be stranded. Of course I would have made you admit LSU was a better team first lol, but still would have helped.

Lot of folks dont want to help when it involves them doin some type of labor. Most of the guys on C.com will go out of the way to help a fellow fisherman.

I have always made it a point to check on and help anyone I could on the water. It could always be the other way around. I believe in Do unto others as you would have them do unto yourself. And I spent a couple years running a rescue boat in south Texas so I've seen a lot of what can happen on the water. Those guys are just an example of the society we live in today.

It takes all kind is what I've learned, and I've gotten towed and have towed others with no worries. In my opinion the fish are not going anywhere so my fellow brothers and sisters on the water come first if help is needed. I've also been on other end when big motor went down and have to troll near a mile wondering if I'd ever make it back and boats come flying by pushing me further away not worried that I was throwing my hand up trying to get their attention for help!!
Help in a heartbeat.
