Default Tried to beat the cold front

N2CRAPPIE and I hit Lake St Louis Saturday trying to beat the cold front. We were fishing docks mainly. Seems like the shallow docks had the green carp in them. We kept changing lures and jig heads trying to find a pattern but the cold front pushed them down and you had to entice them to get them to bite. Best color was orange jig head, chartruse/silver body. You would have to drop it close to the bottom, hold it still and give it that special wiggle to make them bite if they were there. We had a great time even the weather kept getting colder and the wind picked up. Left the lake when it started to sprinkle. Kept eight for some sandwhiches which will taste good today.

After watching Jared fish that orange jig head, I have been using it regulally and getting to be a firm believer that they see that orange jig head better and it attracts them.

Just want to let everyone know that all the fish in the basket were caught by LSL Angler. All I caught were dinks, guess my wiggle wasn't special enough. Thanks for the invite, had a great time and can't wait to do it again when conditions are better.
