Post just a little something I'd like to share...

I got this from my cousin in Fla. It sums up alot of my thoughts on several different subjects, and I thought it would be worth passing on.... BamBam VRC-50, Cubi Point, Philippines....

    IN PERSPECTIVE

WOW...is this laying it on the line or what?

The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster and
Associates in Atlanta. She's been in business since 1980 doing
interior design and home plann ing. She recently wrote a letter to a family
member serving in Iraq....... Read it!

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not
started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September
    11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally
murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our
nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible,
burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated"
when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't.
    I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents
for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start
caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime
    in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for
hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling
    slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out
and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding
    in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search
of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide
    bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First
Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead
of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up
an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have
been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest
    assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot
in the head when he is told not to move because he might be
booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat,
and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is
complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can
absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran"
and other time s "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it I
    don't care ! ! ! ! !

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your e-mail
friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this
ridiculous behavior! If you don' t agree, then by all means hit the
    delete button.

Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more
atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great
    country.

I am not deleting this, I am sending it on, but only after I add:

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a
difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." --

This letter should have been written to everyone! I have a nephew that is serving in the marines. He is in Afghanistan, he is very proud of what he is doing and so am I. The common people over there love him and his comrades. They are doing a great service. All we hear is the negative liberal slant. Support our troops, country, and our president! THE BANDIT

Well Bandit I have a nephew that is over seas right now serving in the army.I pray for his and all the service people safe return home....But if the worst should happen, and he becomes one of the kidnapped or hostage,I only pray that the person that has him, does Care....I care about all of our service people...Here and over seas....But I also care about other peoples religions, and their rights as a human being...Do I agree with everything they say or do ?No I don't..But this letter that was suppose to be written and sent to someone ...It's not real ...It's a form of raceism...And thank God my nephew feels the same way..Because thats the way he was raised..To love all people..And to honestly love all people, then you have to respect their religion and their way of life.If one of our troops mistreats a hostage..Yes ,I think they should be punished....Do the other countries mistreat our guys if they capture them..Yes,they do,I don't like it.but I will not stoop to their level and do the same thing to them. And try to tell myself thats it's right because they do it.That is the way a crazy person thinks...

Queen, Isn't this a great country! You and I have a slight difference of opinion on the text of the letter posted above. We are free to discuss our feelings and share our views without fear of retribution. I love this country and think it is well worth fighting for. I guess I am a bit too conservative in my political stance to accept noting less than unconditonal support of the flag and this nation. I could be an extremist when it comes to patriotism.

Since you brought the subject up..I truly do not believe that when I get to heaven, that God will ask me if I was jewish, cathalic, baptist,or muslim.... I truly think that I will be judged by what is in my heart... And I never said that I agree with their religion. What I said was they have a right to worship ever how they want to...I don't have any right to tell them they can't pray to whoever they want too.I might not agree with it.But thats the way it is..

There are so many things done in the name of religion that hurt so many people (even in this the greatest country). It really is disturbing how people twist religion to suit there personal needs. It's based on faith, no science involved, so some idiot takes the believers and makes them do his will.

I believe in some higher power, but I'm not going to any church for them to force their interpretation on me. And there are probably as many whackjobs around the U.S. as there are around the world. Just turn on the TV on Sunday and listen to them tell you that you need to commit a certain dollar amount, and some of them are ridiculous. I'd rather give my money to a local charity that actually does something useful with it. Just the tip of the iceberg for me.

    that's the way I am.

As a veteran of desert shield/storm I totally support our efforts and what our President decides. Once you've enlisted, you have no choice. You don't have to like it, but you have to do it. And you know you are signing your life over to your President and your country (wish these mothers that are protesting would figure this out). Lives will always be lost in support of FREEDOM, the men and women who sign up knowing what's on the line are heroes and deserve to be recognized as such.
