    Default Beat the sleet……2013

Well day two on the crappie water wasn't a bad one. I've gotten off to a great start thus far with no mishaps in the boat and nothing has quit so far. (knocking on wood) Usually something small goes wrong each trip with me never fails. I've learned to expect it. Hit the same spots as we hit yesterday trying to beat the sleet and we did a fair job. Ended up with a limit and a half today around 23 or so. Took the father in law with me and he had a good time despite the cool weather. Pretty much the same thing as yesterday, hover the 1/16 with a jig and minnow over the brush on bottom, keep it pretty still, reel a half reel and jig and then keep it still, then a thump and a rod bend. It sounds boring but I could do it day in and day out for the rest of my life. Something about that bump. No pics today, didn't bring the camera the weather was too nasty so you will have to take my word for it ladies and gents.

Nice second day Danny. I supprise you didn't sneak a walleye out of there fishing with those minnows. This cold front is going to test you on your next trip.

Thanks for the report. It's hard for me to fish deep because it's so slow waiting for the jig to sink. But when you get the thump it's all worth it. Same with fishing in the cold just something about the thump that keeps me going back.
