Then it was a good day.
Sorry about the bad luck though.
Had a good day at work traveled to 4 jobs , bout175 miles round trip. Got home loaded the boat and launched it to find out I had a dead battery. Nice to be floating in the water with no juice in the battery, left the switch on looks like. I had a wrench so I swapped out the trolling motor battery and we fished with no trolling motor. Caught one bream and one stripe.....
Then it was a good day.
Sorry about the bad luck though.

Bad luck teaches good lessons. Make up a set of jumper cables about 6 or 7 foot long to jump from one battery to another and keep them in the boat. The smaller clips will work fine and not eat up an entire compartment. Even if you don't need them, someone else might. I've used mine several times.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
least it was a "good" day overall.
Ya got work to help pay the bills, ya got off work early enough to go fishing, and ya caught some fish. Not bad. Sucks about the battery tho.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
Put you a Red warning light next to that switch to remind you to shut it off.

Dang it boy
yeap, carrying them jumper cables saved me a few hassels. you can even charge the other battery, with the jumper cables, while running the big motor.
Another vote for the jumper cables. Saved me some trouble once when my starter battery went dead while on the water. Glad you were able to get out on the water and hope it's trouble free next time out.
Jumper cables...never leave home without them.
