Default Texas Man Catches Fish With Human-Like Teeth

    http://www.local6.com/news/9542967/detail.html

A fish caught in Lubbock, Texas, with teeth that look like they belong to a human has baffled wildlife officials in the area, according to a report.

Fisherman Scott Curry reeled in the 20-pound fish on Buffalo Springs Lake and immediately noticed the catch had human-like teeth.

The fish is a pacu. It was most likely a pet that someone released once it got too big.

Someone on the TFF said same thing. People should not be releasing fish that don't belong in our lakes and rivers.

Man that's how we ended up with all those crappy fish we got now.......... silver carp, walking catfish, koi(goldfish), snake-heads and many others too many to name.

Ain't that how they got gators in sewers of New York City?

Hope they catch the other and get it out too!

That's why we've had two Piranha caught from local waters, here in KY.
People raise them in aquariums until they get too big, too expensive to feed, too dangerous to keep, etc ............ then flush'em or drop them into a lake. Not a good scenario !! A lot of "tropical" species won't survive over a Winter season, unless they are lucky enough to find a warm water discharge area. But, others can survive, and in some cases thrive. And with no natural predators around, they can really mess with the ecosystem of those waters. We already have enough fish species with teeth .... we don't need any more. Not IMHO, anyway. ............cp

That is definately a Pacu.Native to Peru i think, but they get to big for the idiots to have in thier tank so they just turn em loose in the lake.
There have been piranah cuaght in a small local lake here, and an aligator was shot in the missouri river just north of where i live.

Pacu are usually mistaken for piranha or often reported to be piranhas because it makes for a more interesting news report. I've yet to see a real piranha taken from any US waters. I wonder how Pacu taste? I know that Oscar and tilapia are great. Probably some of the best freshwater fish I've ever eaten.

Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

And we act like this Nightstalking thing is new.

For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin
