Does anyone have any thoughts on using a 1/0 circle hook for night fishing?

I did an experiment one summer........... saltwater fishing on the coast. I fished Circle Hooks exclusively and my two buddies fish their regular ole hooks.
We all caught about the same number of fish, but every one I hooked was stuck in the corner of the mouth. Just like the manufacturer said.
Don't set the hook with then circle hooks just apply stead pressure and they just hook themselves. I've even gone to using them in the river for catfish.
I like 'em!

Are Tru Turn Hooks designed to hook in a fish's lips also? I bought some #8 circle hooks for bream, but I'd like to try a variety of hooks that reduce gut hooking as I am not that good at setting hooks early.
Circle hooks is all I use for catfish.. I don't like them so much with crappie since I've had the hook tear right through that thin membrane. They aren't called "papermouths" for no reason. - Roberta
